I’m a relatively new Melanie Harlow reader, and frankly, I’m kicking myself for it. I binge read her One and Only series, the predecessor to this series, leading into the release of Only You, and I’ve been looking forward to this book since. It did not disappoint. I really enjoy Harlow’s writing. Full of feels, her sweet, steamy romances and endearing characters come together into tender love stories that sweep me right up into them.Irresistible, the first book in the Cloverleigh Farms series, spins off of Only You, the last book in the One and Only series. The hero, Mack, is a side character in that story, and Cloverleigh Farms is the vineyard where both Mack and that book’s hero, Ryan, work. I loved that tie-in, it gave this series starter a familiar yet new feel. Mack, a former Marine, was trying his hardest to be the best dad to his three little daughters that he could, but sometimes everything just piled up and he couldn’t help feeling a bit overwhelmed. That’s where Frannie came in. She was his part-time nanny, and she was also the daughter of the Cloverleigh Farms’ owner and a coworker there.I loved everything about this story. I loved Mack, I loved Frannie, I loved the two of them together, and his daughters were adorable little show-stealers. A little bit bittersweet, a whole lot swoony, Mack and Frannie’s love story was one that I devoured in an afternoon. I couldn’t get enough of their story, these characters, and I’m already looking forward to the next book. Five smooches from me for Irresistible by Melanie Harlow!
Be still my heart. For all you single dad lovers out there Irresistible is for you. Prepare your heart for some very swoon worthy moments when it comes to Mack. You are so going to love not only how he is with his daughters but just how he is overall. I love the fight in Mack when it comes to Frannie. It is sweet yet a little heart achy at times too. Frannie is the youngest of the Sawyer sisters. You feel for her with the way she is treated still like a child. You see a lot of growth when it come to Frannie. I for one love how she becomes closer to her sisters. Not only is the chemistry between Mack and Frannie amazingly hot but so is the love she has for Mack's daughters. You will love those girls just as much as everyone else in this series. Don't get me started on a few cameos from previous books. The Sawyer family you are going to love throughout this series. I for one can't wait for more. Melanie Harlow will make you fall in love hardcore with this one. She just has this magical way of making her characters come to life. So get ready for a swoon worthy time when it comes to Irresistible. This is a need to one click book.
Good lawddd all the feels are in this book. Mack and Frannie have done penetrated my black heart.Frannie could not be any sweeter. Mack could not be anymore sexy!I mean who can resist a hot single dad with the BEST girls everrrrrrrrr? No one, thats who. Mack it totally struggling his way through parenthood, doing his best when he falls for the forbidden fruit so to speak. Frannie is living her hum drum life when she takes a chance to put her feelings on the line.So much feelings, emotions, and down right dirtyness is what makes Mack and Frannie the best couple. That Mack knows how to bring a girl to her knees with that dirty mouth of his. Words can’t describe how much I loved Frannie & Mack’s story! I couldn’t stop reading. I found myself forgetting what I was supposed to be doing and stopping to continue to read. These characters & their journey consumed me! I didn’t want to leave Frannie & Mack’s world! So I’m glad that Frannie’s sister Chloe’s story is next!I highly recommend!I voluntarily reviewed this book.
So we met Mack in Only Love and you could tell that he needed his own story. I am so glad he got one, he is a single dad of three little girls (they truly made the story what it is) who has a thing for Frannie. His boss's daughter, his sometimes nanny, the girl who is 10 years younger than him. While they both have feelings for each other they both want different things out of life. Mack is living his life for his girls while Frannie is just starting hers. This book was great! I laughed a lot but then other parts pulled my feelings to the surface. Great characters, great story and not a huge amount of drama.
4 1/2 StarsI love reading books written by Melanie Harlow. They just have that IT Factor. I smile, swoon, catch feelings, and get butterflies in my tummy. Irresistible doesn’t disappoint. Her books also often make me hungry and crave a specific item. Macaroons are what I’m dreaming of now.Irresistible is the story of a single dad with three girls. He just feels like he can barely keep his head above water. I so enjoyed the relationship between him and his kids. His children are scene stealers for sure. The heroine is a coworker, his boss’s daughter, his part time nanny and ten years younger. She has always been handled with kid glove and wants to break free. I don’t have anything bad to say about her. Their story felt natural and realistic.The one thing I have to say is that I wish we got to see more of the reactions of when they become a public couple. It was a little rushed and I didn’t get that closure. Honestly, this is a fantastic book and I can’t wait until Melanie Harlow’s next.
