Perfect Service Manual to buy. Very detailed, lots of up close pictures. From basic maintenance, to removing or finding anything on your bike. Used the book to install an alarm siren and help me fix a broken 16 pin connector, how to install wires in a new one. It also was helpful showing how to remove front fairing and installing Truck-Lite LED lights.I'm sure to an experienced mechanic, most of what you'd be using this book for is basic common sense but for people like myself, it's a tool worth having and honestly I enjoy reading & learning about the operation of the bike. -
Having owned several of the Official Harley-Davidson manuals for the model specific year of bike I owned at the time I can say this manual is pretty good, and if you can't/won't buy the Harley manual, then you should buy this one, even if you don't plan to do your own servicing. Easy to read with plenty of pictures. Not quite as detailed as the Harley manual, but will get the job done, and can save you some money if you plan to do your own oil changes, or want to see what's really under your outer fairing!! And this manual is about $50 less than the Harley manual.
I was blown away by how comprehensive this manual is! I have an 07 HD FLTRI, the factory book is over $160, this I got for under $50 and serves my needs above and way beyond! This is no slim format of the real deal and as thick as an old school encyclopedia!
Great book when wrenching on your bike. The only thing I don’t like is how completely different the bikes are for the book my bike falls in. It is easy to miss read something because my bike info is scattered in the same sections.
Had Harley's tech large manual already. Clymers is a great addition, and seems to be easier to understand in a lot of areas. Also covers more years plus SCREAMING EAGLE details. My Harley covers only my 09 Road king, but that's what I wanted back then. Glad I bought Clymer manual. Highly recommended. Loaded with info and pictures.
Good manual. Easy to read. But I found some errors on descriptions of parts. Especially on the exhaust. Not critical but could be confusing. You don't need this is you have the Harley shop manual however. But this is a bit cheaper than the shop manual. Either one will do the job.
This manual arrived with a cut in the back cover. I would like a new one that is not cut or a discount rebated to me for the cut cover.
A must-have for a do-it-yourselfer. Big fan of Clymer manuals and had the information I needed for checking runout tolerances on spoked rims, and easy-to-read tables for torque.
