This book is one of my favorites along with Sophia and Leo Wish On A Star. I enjoyed reading it to my granddaughter who loves the pictures. Not only is it fun story but it also has a good message and it has fun facts. Great Holiday book with lots of adventures.

Our children absolutely love this series and this is their favorite book so far! The new book presents good values and is full of many teachable facts for the children... and they also really love the precocious little dog Leo!! They even started to call our family dog Leo. Hope the author writes more books in this series... our children can't wait!!!

If you are looking for some music that â€œFeelsâ€ like a decade then you will love this greatest hits collection. Earth, Wind and Fire are, in my mind, a group that epitomizes the seventies, all of the funk and groove of those days long past, and they have a way of doing it both smooth and happy.

Both of Earth Wind & Fire greatest hits albums on one collection. And some excellent hits, to boot.The good: You are getting mostly album versions here. And they are excellent hits. Fantasy, After The Love Is Gone, September, Shining Star, Can't Hide Love, That's the Way of the World, Singasong--the list goes on. Mostly the big hits from the mid 1970s are here, with the inclusion of Let's Groove (a hit in late 1981 and a good one at that). Missing are the out-takes and filler material. You get this album, you will wonder how the radio even survives today with Autotunes ruining today's music (you won't find that here).There are a few time issues, though. Boogie Wonderland is a bit short running--somewhere out there, I have had a single version running 4:59 and really running the full 4:59. This runs 4:48. September is also a bit short, running only 3:34 instead of the 3:37 I have had on the boxed set and vinyl records. You will not be getting the big R&B only hits from the mid 1980s here, nor will you get the early hits before 1975. "Devotion", found on the boxed set, came out late 1974 and is not here. Perhaps just as well, since there is only so much space on a single disc and including all the outtakes, R&B only hits from beyond 1981, and the early material would result in a multi-disc set that would cost three times as much.The album is an excellent value. The only bad thing I can say that is not a compromise on what will fit is that Boogie Wonderland is only 4:48 when I have heard a 4:59 single version. I do not expect the 12" single version that runs 8:25, but I would have liked the label to preserve the regular single version. Other than that, you will not regret buying the collection.

I am 55 and grew up with EWF. Overall I like this CD a lot but it would have been better if so so songs like Mighty Mighty and Saturday Night were replaced by really good ballads like All About Love and Be Ever Wonderful or by deep tracks like Sun Goddess or Head to the Sky. Still, it's a great value for the money.

Absolutely amazing. I always knew of EW&F but never really sought them out till this year and I have been hooked ever since. I am finding so many new favorite songs and so many songs I know and loved that I had no idea EW&F sang them. This CD has been on repeat for over a week and even my 7yr. old son is loving it. If you ever see me driving in NJ you might hear this CD and see me bopping my head.

I have enjoyed listening to Earth Wind and Fire since I was a very young man. This album has all their best hits and is a must have for anyone wanting to listen to this iconic group's most listened to tunes. Highly recommended.

I didn't do much research into what was available in terms of Earth, Wind & Fire hits collections before buying this, since it was Amazon's daily MP3 sale one day for $3.99, but based on what little I know of the band, most of the hits casual fans are familiar with are here. "September" is the one I'm most aware of and the main reason why I bought this, but I was surprised at how many other songs I knew. If you were a kid alive in the late '70s / early '80s, you no doubt heard "Shining Star", "That's The Way Of The World", "Let's Groove", "Boogie Wonderland" and "After The Love Has Gone" playing on your parents' car radio.It has that feel of an older hits collection - bare bones, with no unreleased tracks or rarities, but that was enough for me, and will probably be enough for most new fans.

. . ."Shining Star" came out the spring I graduated from high school. During choir tours in college, someone always brought along EWF tapes to play on those long bus rides. I have fond memories of singing right along with "Sing a Song." By the time I was in my early 20s, "Boogie Wonderland," "Getaway" and "Let's Groove" were popular in the discos. And I'd forgotten about their superb remake of "Got to Get You Into My Life" which was originally recorded by four guys who answered to the names of John, Paul, George, and Ringo. Twenty-five years after I first heard these great songs, I finally got this collection. Do these songs still sound like funky fun and make me feel 20 all over again? Absolutely. Are they worth keeping for the next generation? You better believe it. One of my colleagues and I are using "Shining Star" as background music for our students to write about their dreams in our college class for undecided students. And my five-year-old daughter asks me to play it as soon as we get in the car to go anywhere. Did I even mention that a cappella meisters Take 6 and contemporary Christian music's Point of Grace included covers of "Sing A Song" on some of their 1990s albums? A positive, healthy message NEVER goes out of style--especially when it's wrapped around some of the most awesome riffs ever dreamed up. The only thing more fun than listening to these guys is catching them on a cable-TV special or better yet, in person. Put the top down, slide this one into your stereo, and enjoy. . .

I couldn't wait to get this cd of this amazing group! The songs sound so good on the CD player! Thank you for the good packing & arrival.

The first thing I do when I buy a car, any car, new or used or in horrible shape or practically new, is buy the manual. I end up scribbling, highlighting and making notes in it, so it gets used and beaten up pretty fast. This manual came in such good shape I almost hesitate to write in it...but I did. I started a Facebook page called Women Working on Cars, and I highly recommend Haynes repair manuals. They need to be paired with Chilton and then the manufacturer's manual if you're hardcore, but this and a Chiltons will take you where you want to go.

I just purchased a 2000 Dodge Caravan and it had no owners manual in it. They don't show much anyway. I always used Chilton manuals, But a friend loaned me one of these manuals. I used it, I didn't want to give it back! Save your money on Chilton. They do not hold near the information, clarity and in depth detail, thus VALUE, that Haynes Repair Manuals do. I have been using Chilton manuals for years, I wish I would have known about these manuals sooner!!!

Just what the average DIYer needs. Bought this when I bought a used Grand Caravan with 39K miles on it. Proud to say she's still on the road, looking and running pretty good, with 162K miles. Haynes writes a good book! Instructions and detailed descriptions of teardowns and rebuilds. Decent (not great) pictures in many cases.

If you're new to home repair of your vehicle, these manuals are probably not the ones you want to begin with. They don't always have as much detailed instructions as the old Chilton's manuals that had step-by-step instructions with exploded views and diagrams. However, if you're somewhat adept already, and have a basic knowledge of today's vehicle construction, this one will see you to the finish line.

Pretty good manual. The electronics section is kind of skimpy, but otherwise it covers most of everything. It's heavy on pictures for the 2.4 and 3.3 L models (I have a 3.0 L, so I was a little disappointed). Still, for $15 this beats what Auto Zone was asking.

This book is like the others - Very Informative. It helps you with all aspects of working on the vehicles listed in the title. The instructions are very easy to follow. My husband likes these manuals because I can even figure out how to fix things sometimes so he doesn't have to take off work to fix the car. For the price you can't afford not to have one of these for each of the cars you own. Sure saves on mechanic bills!

I can't finish this. Got 3/4 of the way, but I'm done. What a bunch of hateful characters. If anyone treated me the way Nicole treats Claire, I'd bitch slap her. Way too over-the-top for me. Real people don't behave like this.

I hated this. If I could return it, I would. This should not be the second book. I read what is supposed to be the first book but based on the story all of this has happened prior to the book I just read. I wish I could get my money back.The characters are very mean. They are not likable whatsoever. I have read lots of Susan Mallery and love reading multi-book stores. But this one is a trainwreck.

Simply put, this is a thoroughly delightful story of family, meeting challenges, and falling in love. From start to finish, the reader falls in love with the characters flaws and all and roots for a happily ever after for the main character. Once again, Ms. Gallery does not disappoint.

As long as you aren't too annoyed by the common romance trope of instant overwhelming attraction, this is an enjoyable read, with main characters you can like and respect, and with Susan Mallery's usual sprinkling of witty dialogue. I'm about to read the second book in this series.

Poor Claire torn from her family, namely her twin sister to study and play piano. Blamed by her twin for their mother's death. Told to go away when she goes to help her twin after surgery.

How does Susan Mallery do it? At times I was so angry with Nicole and Claire I was ready to throw the book away and within minutes I was in love with them. Such realistic characters WITH a believable storyline it was hard to do anything but read. Can't wait for book 2.

I finished this in one sitting! Great characters, snappy dialogue and a funny realistic happily ever after. Can't wait to start the next in this series.

I am new to susan mallery and the genre, i loved her fools gold series, and the Maricelli sisters (except the last one). this book was disappointing as I could not find one redeeming quality in the male character Wyatt. at the end i just wished the main character left him and found someone more worthy of her. If she had been my friend I would have told her she was settling or was letting an orgasm decide the next 50 years of her life. is there such a thing as Orgasm goggles? Nicole and Jesse are so flawed and unlikeable, but i am curious as to how ms mallery will endear these sisters to me, so I will read the other two.

This book was excellent, and in my opinion, very different than his first which was also great. Sheridan is obviously very intelligent and asks some of the great fighters the right questions. Sheridan is a deep thinker and really presses to get to the answer of what makes some fighters so much better than the rest. I think he was successful in finding the answer(s).Each of the fighters he spends time with gives a different answer and Sheridan adds a little of his own experience. The book is not the typical sports psychology--think positive stuff--although Sheridan does cover that. I think every reader will walk away with a different answer as to what will make him or her better in whatever they do. Marcello Garcia sums it up most simply in the book, but again every reader will get something different, so I won't spoil it here.Sheridan focuses on fighting, but touches on other competitive events so any competitive athlete will enjoy this book.

Mr. Sheridan abandoned the thrill of the fight for the thrill of the interview in the sequel to "A Fighter's Heart." Surprisingly it lead to a more enlightening and fun experience. The interviews are well thought out, featuring talents ranging from MMA champs and coaches, chess and jujitsu masters, and even olympic champions and ultra-runners. The variety keeps things interesting leading up to a well thought out conclusion. A great read for anyone who competes at anything.

I was pleasantly surprised by the rich insights of the world's great fighting minds that Mr. Sheridan has documented and analyzed in this book. The wide-ranging perspectives of these different, but very successful individuals have key traits in common. There are life lessons to be learned from each interview, ranging from wrestling and MMA legends, a chess master, ultra-runner and even an art critic, etc.

I am a huge MMA fan and haven't read Sam's first book (yet). But given all of the high praise for this book, I purchased the Kindle version before going on vacation. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. I love how the book started with the insight of Dan Gable, wrestling's living legend, and went on to Jiu Jitsu great Marcelo Garcia, Olympic gold medalist Andre Ward, the always clutch Randy Couture, the wise beyond his years Greg Jackson, lightweight contender Kenny Florian, all time great Renzo Gracie, etc. etc. This book uncovers a lot about fighting but it also covers a lot about life. I like how Sam interviewed the still relatively young Josh Waitzkin and got loads of useful information about what it takes to be an all time chess great or a great marathon runner or a great fighter or anything else for that matter. Whatever your passion, I think this book has tons of value. I need to read this book over and over because there is so much great information that can apply to whatever you have a passion for. Great job Sam!

"The Fighter's Mind" is Sheridan's second foray into the field of MMA literature. His first book was unique and intriguing; his second book delivers on all accounts!Essentially, this book is a collection of interviews with some of the world's greatest fighters, coaches, and athletes. Sheridan asks, "Is it interesting to talk to artists about how they think about art? Is there anything to be learned?" By positing this question Sheridan is, in some ways, trying to justify his efforts in talking to athletes about what they do. Is there something to be learned from talking to these athletes? Is there something that could benefit us all? Sheridan concludes that there is, in fact, something tangible to be gained from talking about what goes on inside a fighter's mind.The book is interesting and beautifully writing. My favorite interview in the book is with Greg Jackson. The interview is fecund with knowledge and insight, not only into the sport of MMA, but also into the mind of one of MMA's greatest coaches: Greg Jackson. Jackson says, "Each problem [when training a fighter] is like jazz - each unique piece has to be pushed sometimes, pulled others. It's improvisational." The interview continues onto a discussion of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and eventually to the fiercest Mongol leader, Genghis Kahn.I wholeheartedly recommend this book to all athletes. This isn't just a book about MMA and boxing, this is a book about the human mind, and the untrodden limits that only few have ventured into.P.S. Sam Sheridan is amazing author. I really enjoyed his book A Fighter's Heart: One Man's Journey Through the World of Fighting and recommend it to anyone interested in MMA. This book gives you an in depth look into the mental game of fighters. The books also helps you to think differently in life (it does not just relate to fighting but everyday aspects of life). I can't wait till he writes a new book.

Twining, usually worked on some type of frame or on a loom, is a type of weaving that involves twisting weft strands around warp (vertical) strands to make a strong and decorative fabric. Irwin has been studying this craft since 1980 when (as a census-taker) she met Lillie Sherwood, an 80-year-old rug weaver living on an isolated ranch in Idaho, and discovered a craft that she, an experienced weaver, had never seen before. This richly illustrated book includes step-by-step instructions for nine samplers and ten full-sized twined rugs as well as information on constructing a basic twining frame and preparing the rag-strip weft. I ordered this book to learn how to make different patterns in my twined rugs in addition to the plain ol' random stripesI get now. After looking through this book I am very pleased to find many of the things that I want to learn. I will be able to make more than just different colored stripes. Well written, easy to understand, and a treat for me :) The book came from a library and they said it had a lot of wear on the corners due to use in a library. I am very happy to say that I consider the wear as minimal compared to some other used books I have bought. I'm a happy crafter.

Im new to twining and searched for books that would help me learn to twine. I checked this book out at the library and realized I needed to order it because it was a book I would reference often....It covers several ways to twine for different effects and types of materials to use , how to warp your loom and a lot more!!!

I like the ideas from this book for my rag rug making. There are patterns I have tried and liked. Practice, practice, practice is what is needed with my rag rug making and this book pushes my abilities.

I learned how to twine somewhere else, but I heard that this book had examples of how to make adjustable looms-that is the main reason why I bought the book. In the book it tells the basic way to twine and then some variations. It also tells about looms that can be made at home. It tells a little about what materials would be best to use for your rags. It has beautiful photographs of rugs twined by rag rug twiners in the USA. I did not learn the basics of twining from this book so I am not sure how helpful it would be for a beginner trying to learn strictly from the book. I would reccomend reading the whole book to get all the important hints before you start your rug.

Rug twining is an ingeniously simple craft, very humble but potentially dazzling. Bobbie Irwin explains all the techniques in an easy and direct manner. She gives instructions for the various primitive looms you can use. I built the Salish style loom one weekend and it's just superb for twining. Materials used for the rugs range from clothesline cord to cast-off blue jeans to wool, velour, and beyond. Any fabric can be used. The end result is a very sturdy rug that lasts and lasts--and that housecats adore.

Good instructions, easy to use. Graphics are good. Other options for using Twining.

Amazing and useable in daily life. I just started this program. It REALLY is as though you are being taught by a Master Shaman (which he is) and are an apprentice. Today I started Disc One and finished it. I listened twice to get the most out of it. The best part is the aha moments which you will have once you begin the learning. I am not familiar with S American shamanism so this was new to me. I am old and studied with a Harner Institute teacher years ago. It was rewarding but I was not ready to give it my all. Now that I can learn at my own pace and have heard a lot of good things about don Oscar I decided to try to improve my life as I am in need of focus. Today, in one day I realized what has been missing in my life. That is compassion and healing for others and the planet which is integral to this program. The items I needed to start I had around the house.A shell, a feather, a rock, a candle, and a small momento which is important to me . (not mentioned here because it is private ). I am ready to start tomorrow and begin again to bring healing to my life and those around me. Thank you don Oscar for this work. I will update this as I make more progress and learn from this fun and practical course.
