A lightbulb went off after I read this book > I realized two major things. 1) even though my husband and I were splitting up to-dos, they all still remained on my mental to-do list. and that means they're still on my plate 2) yes there will be some mothers who make the cutest valentine's day cards for the class that you're jealous of - and if they love to do that and get joy from it, all the power to them. but before you fall into the mommy guilt trap, ask your kids what's more important to them. to have homemade, perfect valentine's cards to hand out? or to spend time together playing a board game or watching his soccer game? we make assumptions about what being a good mom/wife/worker is about without taking a step back and asking what really matters to our family. once you do that, you have the incredible freedom and power to drop the ball.

Its obvious this book is a must read for today's women, who are seeking ways to thrive, but I HIGHLY recommend this book for the men - husbands, dads and male leaders. As I read this book, I've gained empathy and a new perspective I only sensed before but didn't quite understand completely until Tiffany made it clear for me. I now have a new lens for what my wife has done and is doing, to be an amazing wife, mother and career professional. Despite already being a proud and 'active' dad, I now understand her challenges and am attempting to step up to the plate and do more, to allow more balance in our marriage and parental roles, and to allow her an opportunity to be all she can be. After getting through the first third of the book which was not that relatable to me because I'm not an obsessive perfectionist like the author, the book got better because she gave explicit information on how she changed up the division of labor in her home to kick ass in her career. I would recommend this book to other mothers with careers and the partners that are supporting them, but I would not want to read this book if I were not one of those two categories of people.

Where do I begin with Tiffany Dufu? All I can say is that I am so GLAD she took the time out to write this book. She really has a special way of writing, and i mean that in a good way. It is more than just a book, it is a couple's therapy session along with a women confidence booster. Tiffany makes you feel like you can really do anything as a woman, without really doing everything. As a person who often takes on alot just to please others, often putting others needs before my own, stressed about how I would maintain an ambitious career, along with being a future superb wife and mom, I could see myself becoming very stressed early on. She completely changed my perspective on the HOW to let go, without the sacrificing of SELF. She is raw, she is authentic, honest, and speaks on real shit that many women just don't speak off, either suppressing it out of fear of being judged or conditioned to believe that they just shouldn't think that way. Tiffany shines light on undisclosed issues the modern working woman faces, along with trying to keep a lifetstyle where they feel free to embrace who they are, without being looked down at for not being the best wife or mom. I started this book that Friday night and had completed it by the next week's Friday morning.It really hit home. Tiffany is a great writer and honest about her struggles with the aforementioned roles. I found myself laughing and on the verge of tears, recognizing my own story within her words.She provides realistic tools and shares stories that are both enlightening and light hearted, making it easy to see room and opportunity for small changes in your own "life go round".I read this book while nursing my newborn, waiting for laundry to finish, sitting with my 9 year old for reading time, my 10 minute "hurry up" lunch breaks, while hubby was in the garage working on his project or maintenancing my vehicle.Speaking of hubby, he is definitely an advocate for sharing household and family duties and no stranger to streamlining or spearheading strategies for us, unlike Kojo (respectively)-- in the story--BUT after reading this book, it was easier to talk with him about my own anxieties and feelings of overwhelm.I'd definitely recommend this book over and over again.

The Tor browser is a start, but trying to configure it like other browsers (like I was with add-ons & plug-ins) will actually decrease the privacy you thought you were gaining by using Tor. If you are new to Tor or even moderately familiar with Tor this is the book for you.The book also gives a brief introduction to the "Dark Web" and what you will find there. It can only be accessed by the Tor browser or other secure methods. Standard browsers cannot access the Dark Web because Dark Web URLs do not use .com, .org, .htm, .html.. or any other standard URL extension. A Dark Web URL entered in a standard browser will result in Page Not Found. Some of the information on the Dark Web is illegal, which the author points out, but much more is perfectly legal information that cannot be found anywhere on the standard Web, or maybe found with great difficulty. A comparison is made to an iceberg. The visible part of the iceberg is the standard Web, and the enormous underwater part of the iceberg is the Dark Web. Have not tried it yet but will soon. Even finding the specially formatted URL can be a challenge. The author gives a few references of where to look.An excellent detailed introduction to Tor and privacy on the Web, along with a brief introduction to the Dark Web.

Hendersons "No BS" approach gives the reader a lot of opportunity to rethink old opinions. Strong recommendation ESPECIALLY if you are thinking about going into TOR for the first time.

This book was excruciatingly painful to read. The author doesnt seem to be able to form sentences which makes connecting the dots difficult and reading a chore. The reader is faced with unresolved ambiguity and lack of clarity at every turn. It's like reading the work of a ten year old...not to be too hard on ten year olds. The author may know what he was intending to say but utterly fails to convey it.The beginner will not find this book informative, and those further along will be bored by it.Advice to the author: lose your cocky attitude and learn how to write!

From one not personally connected with Kris Vallotton and Bill Johnson or their ministry, here is a very positive review. I approach everything I read with a critical mind, and I came away from this book having been convinced of many things by Vallotton. The "Prince and Pauper Test" in the back of the book is worth the purchase price itself. In fact, that test was how I was first introduced to the book. A relative got the family all to sit down and take it together, and as we went through all eighty questions, skeptical me said, "This guy is spot on--at least 79 out of the 80." :) So I resolved to read the book.The Supernatural Ways of Royalty probes the mindset of the Christian to see how it lines up with our scriptural identity as a child of God. While not every interpretation of every scripture passage quoted is indubitable or beyond countervailing, I found little with which to take definite issue and much to wholeheartedly endorse. (It may be helpful for some to know I do not come from a charismatic background.)The text reads easily but also intellectually. It is permeated with anecdotes but not surfeited with them. In all respects, except the lack of many spaces between sentences which I assume to be the fault of the publisher, this book receives my hearty approval.

I literally LOVE this book so much. I am going to read it again because I love being reminded that I am a Princess!When I first read this book, I wasn't to sure what it was about, but I read the free sample on Amazon and liked it so much I bought the whole book!Kris speaks about having the mindset of a Princess/Prince or a Pauper and at the end of the book you can take a test to see which one you identify more with. This book completely changed my mindset and way of thinking.I was raised a Princess but I always believed the lie that I was a Pauper. While I was reading this book, I had a dream one night that I was literally crushing the enemies jaw. Once I started to believe I was a Princess, I was able to stop believing the lies and realize the truth.Kris also speaks a lot about royal inheritance and at first I was a bit suspicious bc I had not heard much spoken on this subject (besides at Bethel Redding). Not doubting but also not totally sure what he was referencing in scripture, I questioned God about this. I was reminded of a dream I had about a man who found his dead dad's inheritance but he had been carefree with it during his lifetime. Because he was carefree, the family treasure had been hidden until his son sought out to find it. My dream reminded me of the treasure they find on The Goonies! Turns out inheritance is a real thing!I would say read this book and ask for God to open your eyes and show you the truth. God surely opened my eyes!Thanks Kris for writing this book and helping me to realize I am a Princess and that I can help others realize their true identity and calling!!

Through this book, Bill Johnson spoke to me. It is important that I, we see ourselves as Christ sees us. From pauper to princess. In Christ, I am a new creature. Old things have passed away and behold, all things are new. By faith, I receive this. Though others may see this as foolishness, I must believe I am who God says, I am. It is a very good book. If you're struggling with your identity or know someone who is, this book is a good place to begin your recovery.

You will learn a lot about yourself and have more compassion on others. But in this book I learned how to handle people without enabling their pauper mindsets but enourage them to think Godly thoughts.

I think I have lived in the majority mindset most people feel about themselves and their circumstances regardless of their beliefs. I have felt and lived like a pauper my entire life, even though I know Jesus paid the price for my salvation and I am a new creation. I held onto the negative emotions instead of giving them to God. This wonderful book opened my heart and my eyes to my destructive thinking and now I understand what it means to be a new man of God. I am changing my thoughts, my attitude, and my actions to honor Jesus' gift and become the man He and His Father expect me to be. I am going to live and love like a prince and not as a pauper.

Brilliantly Outspoken! This book needs to be in the hands of every blood washed believer! This book will have you reexamine your perception on how you see yourself. We need to see ourselves how God sees us. Amazing read! Also helped me with my Christian Counseling.

Kris does an amazing job confronting the lies that have lodged in so many of us and replace them with who God says we are! Other books go deeper into the chemistry, processes, and different smoking/curing approaches. But they are aimed at serious hobbyists or people considering smoked/cured meats as a business venture. For the guy or gal that wants to step up the flavor of food they make, not food they buy, this is a great little intro to the equipment and procedures used by most home smokers.I have both the hard copy and the kindle versions. Either works quite nicely and with Amazon's cloud reader, the less expensive Kindle version can work quite well if you don't mind reading it on your computer. I'll be using some of the recipes mentioned in the book.It is not the one and only book you will want on the subject, but it is a fine starter.

This is a great book, it covers all of the important aspects of curing and smoking that you need to know for home use without a lot of boring technical details that would only be important for commercial use, It's written in plain simple to understand English and is very easy to follow, it also has a lot of recipe's and pictures.

A handy book to have for people living in the country or for fisher people to smoke or cure their catch, please remember that the meat still needs to be cooked after you have salted or smoked it. And the small is a nice way to tease the neighbours. A great book and I highly recommend you get it while it's still in print.

This is one of those books that are good to have around, but it's not like it's exclusive/mystery information.The information in this book is searchable online, but it does have good tips and tricks, which is why I a giving it 4 stars.

This book is good for people who are just getting their feet wet in grilling and smoking. For me there was too much detail about grills and different smokers because most people that are moving up to the curing stage are already experienced smokers. Very informative though. Would definitely recommend.

The first books of this authors that I read was The Darkness series, which I absolutely adore! I then moved on to this series and love it just as much! She's an amazing writer who weaves exciting, action packed stories that have great characters that you fall in love with, a little romance, a touch of sadness and some laugh out loud dialogue sprinkled throughout!This series picks up after the battle at the Shadow Lands. Our main characters and their trusty crew make their way home towards a battle they know is waiting for them. I don't want to say more then that bc It'll give away the story. Just know that we meet some new characters that I already like & can't wait to see develop, there's the action & struggles we've come to know in this series, along with the always hysterical antics of Sanders and my absolute favorite Honor Guard who keep getting better & better! Wait until you see what the women of the city who've taught Ruisa & the orphans the tricks passed down from their mothers & grandmothers have in store for the enemy! I really hope we see more of the orphans, especially the little one Shanti grew attached to very quickly, in the next book. (And a nudge for the author if she reads this review): I really hope at the very end of this series, the happy ending I expect will include him being adopted by Shanti & Cayan!...pretty please??!! (Wink wink!) My only complaint is that I've read it too fast....again....and now have to wait a few months for the next book. Honestly, don't hesitate to start this series and The Darkness Series. They're awesome!!... Prices really good or free on Kindle Unlimited. Just get them. You won't be sorry!!

As I always start off, the books in this series keep getting so much better! Ms. Breene has a hypnotic way of story telling, combining the forces of war and warriors and intermingling deep soul shattering love and romance, there is a difference in the way love defines itself; there is Shanti's deep romantic love as is told in legendary stories of soul mates, which they are, then add their powers being mated as well, which in this story rarely happens. Then their is love of friends, family and kin. It is said best with, "Your my Kith and my Kin and I will always love and stand by your side. Kayan knows this, but he is so used to the traditional, it will be hard for him. This is such a different land and world, than either is used to, but I believe they will never be able to stray far from each other, one of the best definitions of soul mates I have ever heard described in any book I have ever read! My wife is my soulmate so this I understand, she helped me heal both physically and emotionally when I returned from the battlefield and war, so this draws me in specifically. The war sequences were so well done, I am a warrior and though the times and world are different wholly it's still the same. This is a series to be treasured and read numerous times. I am waiting with bated breath to read the next one, now truly The Chosen. Shanti must also now become the Wanderer (I thought it was Burson for a long time) she must wander to mobilize the people's of the land who said they were standing ready. It almost is like what we did in Army Special Forces, go to the country and gather the people who were subjugated and "recruit" them and then teach them how to create a counterinsurgency, and then follow us into battle against the insurgents. This is exactly what Shanti is doing, creating the largest counterinsurgency this land has ever known as to break the yoke of oppression Xandre has over them and she and Kayan will have to fight him to the death...Until next time, I am writing a review for the audiobook now as I am a big immersion reader, catch it if you listen as well...Rob Ballon 3-MAR-2018

This book was one great battle and a roller coaster of emotions. There is a lot of violence in this book, which is to be expected in a series about warriors defending their homes and the lives of their loved ones.All the main characters are further developed and we meet some new ones, and some highly anticipated ones. They do not disappoint. Their selfless sacrifices are heart melting.Shanti is little less amazing in this book, however, the Captain's and Shanti's people are absolutely magnificent. Shanti's horse and some other animals are constant source of entertainment. Shanti is going through a period pf despair due to such a prolonged struggle with no end in sight, but she seems to be snapping out of it slowly. I hope she will be back to her old fantastic self in the next book. There are some surprises., which I will not reveal, but I will mention the unexpected faction of insurgents.I immediately started reading the next book, which is nearing to the end of the series. I was under the impression that the book five would be the last one, but I recently found out that the sixth and final book is in the making.All the characters and the world and the story are so gripping, I drown in it every time I read. It is difficult to stop reading this series. I get translated into the world and become an active observer. I really love this series and I will be so sad when it comes to an end.I highly recommend it. Reading order is: Forged in Blood (The Warrior Chronicles, #0.5) - although I would suggest reading this one after at least 2 books, Chosen (The Warrior Chronicles #1), Hunted (The Warrior Chronicles, #2), Shadow Lands (The Warrior Chronicles #3), Invasion (The Warrior Chronicles #4), Siege (The Warrior Chronicles, #5).
