This wasn't just your typical how many positions can they do it in romance, but had a real plot that that included espionage, arms dealing, and other international intrigue. I have read most of Anna Zaires books and have enjoyed them as mindless beach reads, however, this book was almost of movie quality, albeit the constant sex. I would have taken one star off because I simply do not understand how women enjoy the fact that they are being held against their will, even if the man is strikingly handsome and wealthy, a common theme in Zaire's books. But due to the fact there was more to the story than just imprisonment, I left the 5 stars.

This is going to be a tough review for me to write. I loved the interaction between Lucas and Yulia, just LOVED it. They are two people wounded by everything that surrounds them. They live in a world that we can only imagine because it is filled with violence and fear. And I loved reading their story.SPOILER ALERTBUT, there are a couple of things that just turned me away from this book. First, I don't believe Julian would have ever let Lucas keep Yulia in his compound. Lucas saved his life? Yep, but even I wouldn't have allowed her there, so I know someone who doesn't hesitate to kill his enemies is going to prevent her from being that close to him and his wife. But the second thing is the one that turned me completely off. Nora, Julian's wife. She's a liar, a manipulator, and threatened Yulia's life to protect her friend. OK, fine. Maybe I can swallow that. But keep in mind, I just read the entire Twist Me Trilogy where poor sweet little Nora is kidnapped and held by Julian and falls in love with him. She learned self defense, learns how to fire a gun and defend her family then what??? Her maid is in love with Lucas, screws up, and Nora threatens Yulia to force Yulia to LIE FOR HER? I was done right then. I didn't read the epilogue that was about Julian and Nora because frankly, writing her like that made her worse than Julian ever could be. Julian is honest about what he is, just like Lucas is. They don't lie, they don't pretend they are something else...so now all of a sudden, Julian who is honest about who and what he is, is married to a manipulating liar. That really did ruin the rest of the trilogy for me. As hot as Yulia and Lucas were together, that's all I could think about towards the end of the book is how incredibly disappointed I was in Nora. The book is well written, just like Twist Me. There's very little to complain about technically. I think the plot should have been tightened up a bit so that the unbelieveable parts were made more serviceable to the book, but over all it was well written, and up until a certain point, I was really, really enjoying it.

Despite the topic the writer grabs the reader immediately and keeps the reader focused until the final volume. Unfortunately, the topic is so graphic it cvangreat influence on readers for good and bad expectations. The story line gives an excellent view of the helplessness of young people who beconme sexual slaves and are abused, tatooed with bar codes and other ownership brands and somehow puts a gloss over the whole experience. There is a sense that even the sex is safe but in reality it is physically and mentally damaging and readers need to realize this.

Thoroughly loved The Capture Me Trilogy. The characters are compelling with a plot that weaves a hot, romantic, and thoroughly thrilling tale of a spy, a mercenary, and the lengths to which they will go to protect one another and their families. Lucas - the guy who turned away from his wealthy family when they turned away from him because he wanted to serve in the military - falls squarely into the 'Alpha Male' category. Strong, commanding, and a sexual beast who, deep down, has a heart of gold and will go to any length to protect Yulia, the woman with whom he falls in love. But Yulia isn't the typical damsel-in-distress often found in so many other stories. Yes, she's beautiful. But she's so much more than that. She's a spy who was recruited as a kid when she and her younger brother were orphaned. Of course, to say she was recruited isn't quite correct because she was given an ultimatum - join the super covert organization or the life of her three-year-old brother, who was not doing well at the orphanage, would be even worse. And Yulia would do anything to protect him. Even if it means going deep undercover as an interpreter for a notorious drug lord whose personal security detail is led by Lucas. They spend one night together and then everything unravels. Lucas feels as though he's been betrayed by Yulia when she was never privvy to 'the big plan' and her part in it. Yulia put his life, his team's lives, and the life of his boss in grave danger. And he is hell-bent on getting back at her, to break her, to make her give up the name of the organization she works for so he can bring it down. When Yulia misses checking in with her handler due to circumstances beyond her control - she's left out on her own. They disavow her and she winds up in a Russian prison where she's starved, humiliated, and mentally tortured. But she resists giving in because she's had far worse things happen to her in her life. When she's rescued by Lucas and his men - Yulia almost wishes she were back in that Russian prison because at least she would die knowing she didn't betray her country and that her brother will be safe. Being trapped in Lucas's small South American house is scarier than anything because she hates how he pushes her using her body against her. If the Russians find her, they'll kill her for escaping. If her own people find her, they'll kill her because of what she might have said. And if Lucas learns the truth about who she is, for whom she works, and whom she's protecting - Yulia isn't sure he won't kill her little brother.*The only negative I have in regard to this particular series has to do with allusions made towards the series 'Twist Me' which was released in 2015 about the aforementioned drug lord and his teenage wife - whom he kidnapped and the twisted romance they have. If I'd read Twist Me first - I would have had no problem reading Capture Me. But I feel like so much of the plot of Twist Me was revealed in Capture Me - I don't think it would've captured my attention like the Capture Me Trilogy

Expensive but it is a rare topic for children. The book should be less expensive though.

This is a fantastic children's book!! It will be a great addition to any library (home, school, classroom, etc.) to be read over and over. It is also a great resource to use in teaching children the challenging concept of fact vs. opinion. I highly recommend this book.

I plan on giving this book as a Christmas gift to friends and grandchildren. It is a well written book with beautiful illustrations. I look forward to many more books by this author! It is both educational and fun!

It is not a very interesting story. Plot is boring. Will look for a different story to teach facts and opinions.

What a delightful, well written and illustrated little book this one is! The story, told in nicely done verse explores a dilemma we all face from time to time. You have folks with opinions and then you have folks that are driven by pure facts. There is plenty of room in this world for both points of view and Melissa Polyakov gently explores and illustrates how it would be a happier world for us all if each side accepted the other.I had to smile when I read this tale as it brought memories to a young sergeant that worked for me in the military years ago. This young man's entire life was based on FACTS. If he could absolutely verify something in black and white, he simply could not function. To be truthful, this kid was an absolute pain to work with. I would tell him that from time to time you just had to let our imagination go, express your opinion and not necessarily back that opinion up with volumes of `facts.' Opinions are what add zip to our lives and this point is well made in this well thought-out story. It should also be noted that the author is quite subtle is sneaking in the fact that we need to accept the opinions of others. We may not agree with those opinions, but we must certainly listen and give them a chance. The author has explored the pros and cons of facts v/s opinions by using food as an example...a nicely done little meal Miss Opinion cooks for Mr. Fact. It all works out quite well and the point is well driven home.I love the simply verse the author uses to tell her tale; it is quite captivating. The illustrations are bright and very well done and go perfectly with the story. This is one of those books that can be used quite effectively on a one on one read, or better yet, a group read. There is plenty of room here to stimulate discussions with the wee ones you are reading it to or with. It does hold quite a number of good vocabulary words and uses them in a fashion that they are quite understandable even to the very young.Melissa Polyakov, the author and Yana Gruntkovskayo, the illustrator, make a fine team and I am hoping we will see more of their work on down the line. This book will be given to my daughter who teaches first grade (27 years now) to be used in her classroom.Don BlankenshipThe Ozarks

I am a first grade teacher and bought this book to use with my class when we discuss facts and opinions. It is such an abstract concept for children to understand, but this book uses a cute story to make facts and opinions easy to understand. I love it and I can't wait until our fact and opinion unit to share it with my students!

It's a beautiful thing to watch an author combine her love for kids with her passion for education and learning. Melissa used to dream about writing children's books when she was a teen - that's a fact. In my opinion, her authorial debut starts with a bang as she opens up young minds to the wonderful world of personal expression and feeling through Miss Opinion. As I read this story, I quickly identified with Mr. Goat, but wished I was a little more like Miss Opinion. As much as the kids will enjoy this captivating short story and learn some simple concepts along the way, I suspect a few of us older goats will be delightfully inspired to add a little more spice to our lives as well.

As children's literature is a wonderful way to engage students and create interest in abstract concepts, this children's book makes the perfect unit starter for teaching fact and opinion in elementary classrooms. The storyline is fresh and the illustrations are captivating. The characters are relatable and the story delightful. Children will see the value of expressing opinions as a way of adding color and interest to the world of facts. I hope to see more from this author and illustrator combination!
